At Ben Bruce’s party: D’banj vowed to record new song with Don Jazzy


Silverbird Television founder and Senator from Bayelsa state, Ben Murray Bruce, celebrated his 60th birthday party last Friday February 19, 2016 . . .

The birthday party held in the prestigious Eko Hotel & Suites, Lagos, had in attendance many dignitaries, including Ike Ekweremadu, the deputy Senate president, Senator Dino Melaye, ex-Anambra state governor Peter Obi, ex-EFCC boss Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, etc.

Artistes, entertainers and singers who performed at the party included Mavin Crew boss, Don Jazzy, Toke Makinwa, Omowunmi Akinnifes, D’banj and more.

Sen. Bruce, Chairman of Silverbird Entertainment Group, while on stage with D’banj asked that he and Don Jazzy bury the hatchet and work together on a song. According to him, ” do this for me, it is my birthday request.”

Responding, D’ banj said; ” Sir, I have given serious consideration to this. Before I came on stage, I went to Don Jazzy and asked him to join me on stage . . . If he (Don Jazzy) gives me a beat today, the song will be ready the next day.”

Artistes who performed at the show for free in honour of Ben Bruce are Bonsue Fuji exponent, Adewale Ayuba, Tuface, Timaya, Vector, Sound Sultan, MI, Jesse Jagz, Wizkid, Dr. Sid, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, D’banj among others.

Other dignitaries apart from those mentioned above at the event included former Cross River State governor, Donald Duke and his wife, former Akwa Ibom State governor Godswill Akpabio, some serving Senators, captains of industry, beauty queens across Africa, etc.
